Community Meeting Draws Residents to Town Hall

MILLFIELD COUNTY — Residents gathered Tuesday evening at the Millfield County Administration Building for a community meeting addressing recent schedule changes and updates across several local departments. County officials presented brief remarks before opening the floor for public questions.
Attendance was higher than usual for a weekday meeting, with many residents arriving early to secure seats. Additional chairs were brought in shortly before the discussion began.
County Administrator Margaret Voss thanked attendees for coming and encouraged residents to share concerns. She said the county would continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
“We understand people have questions,” Voss said. “Our goal is to keep everyone informed as we work through a few adjustments.”

Several attendees asked about the temporary closure at Millfield Middle School earlier this week. Officials confirmed that classes would resume as scheduled but did not provide additional details.
Others raised questions about recent changes to posted hours at certain county offices. Representatives stated that some departments were operating on modified schedules while internal reviews are completed.
One resident asked whether additional updates would be shared publicly. Voss said notices would continue to be posted through standard county channels.
The meeting concluded after approximately forty minutes. Officials said future meetings may be scheduled if further updates are needed.
