Millfield Elementary Students Prepare Spring Art Showcase

MILLFIELD COUNTY — Students at Millfield Elementary School are preparing for their annual spring art showcase, scheduled for next Thursday evening in the school cafeteria. The event will feature drawings, paintings, and classroom projects from students across all grade levels.

Teachers said preparations began earlier this week, with students working on seasonal themes and collaborative displays. Hallway bulletin boards are being filled with artwork, and several classrooms are helping organize the exhibits.

“The kids really look forward to this every year,” said art teacher Melissa Grant. “It’s a chance for them to share what they’ve been working on with their families.”

The showcase will run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and is open to parents and community members. Staff members will be present to help guide visitors through the display areas.

Several student groups are also preparing small craft tables, where visitors can create simple projects to take home. The school’s parent organization will provide refreshments during the event.

School officials said the cafeteria will serve as the main display space, with additional artwork placed in nearby hallways. Families are encouraged to enter through the front entrance.

Students will take home reminders later this week. The event will conclude shortly after 7:00 PM.
