MILLFIELD COUNTY — Tony’s Pizza officially opened its doors last Monday following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 184 Briar Hollow Rd. Owner Tony Sicero was joined by family, staff, and community members as the restaurant welcomed its first customers.
“It’s nice to have the town come out and show their support. After all that has been happening, it’s nice we can still do things like this.”
— Tony Sicero
After the ribbon-cutting, attendees were treated to a complimentary slice of pizza and a soda. Staff members offered samples of several menu items while visitors toured the dining area and met the team.
Tony’s Pizza will offer dine-in and carryout service throughout the week. Hours will be adjusted during the first few days of operation while staff finalizes seating arrangements and evening service.
The restaurant is located at 184 Briar Hollow Rd and will post updated hours at the entrance. Tony encourages residents to utilize the restaurant’s new website, Tony’s Pizza Online, for menu updates, exclusive deals, and online ordering.
Sicero said the restaurant had been in planning for several months, with much of the work completed by friends and family. The dining area features a small seating section and a front counter for carryout orders, with additional seating expected to be available later in the week.
Several attendees at the opening said they were excited to see a new local option in the area. Residents stopped by throughout the afternoon, with some placing early carryout orders while others stayed to talk with staff and look over the printed menu.
Tony’s Pizza will initially focus on traditional offerings including cheese, pepperoni, and specialty combinations, along with soft drinks and side items. Sicero noted that additional menu items may be added once regular hours are established.
For now, staff are asking customers to check posted hours before visiting. Updated information will be available at the storefront and through the restaurant’s website as operations continue to settle in during the first week.
